For two evenings, I presented to the Fall 2025 cohort for Design Core Detroit’s Client Services Bootcamp, “a business accelerator for designers and creative professionals with client-facing businesses to improve their processes, attract and retain more clients, strengthen operations, and increase profitability.” All participants were gifted a copy of my book, Designing for Local Communities, by Design Core Detroit as part of the program.

Invited to host a community-centered event that included:
45-minute mat pilates class
curated social hour with mocktails and light bites
space to connect, unwind, and create new friendships
The intimate 12-person event celebrating Detroit Metro-based creatives included calligraphers, writers, photographers, content creators, and more to network in a health-positive environment, using my book Designing for Local Communities as a jumping off point for conversation.

In August 2025, Cranbrook Art Museum hosted a book launch presented in partnership with AIGA Detroit and Design Core Detroit, two leading regional design organizations. This event was more than a celebration; it was a tangible activation of the very community I advocate for.
